A team from the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) - Qatar attended the World Economic Forum’s Global Technology Retreat in San Francisco, USA. Additionally, some members were invited to attend meetings of the Artificial Intelligence Governance Alliance (AIGA) which took place one day ahead on May 27th. This participation allowed the team to attend several discussions about the impact of technologies such as AI and Quantum on industry, economy and society. The C4IR-Qatar team attended several informative sessions ranging from new AI technologies’ impact, regulation, and ethics to TradeTech, Logistics, Manufacturing and Supply Chains. The event was attended by several leaders from industry and government in addition to participating delegations from the global C4IR network. The C4IR-Qatar established several bilateral meetings with counterpart centres from the UAE, KSA, Serbia, Rwanda, and Azerbaijan, which culminated in getting an insight about their ongoing initiatives and local and international partners.
